A retired lieutenant general with over 4 decades of distinguished service in the Indian army, Lt. Gen Manvender Singh continues to pursue research in military affairs and support the cause of building ‘Fitness Habits’ in schools. He has been conferred with distinguished awards like Vishisht Seva Medal (VSM), Ati Vishisht Seva Medal (AVSM), and Param Vishisht Seva Medal (PVSM) during his outstanding career. Other milestone in his illustrious Military career include serving as Commandant of the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun. Over the years, he has served at many places from Siachen Glaciers to the Tawang division. He is also an avid Golf player.
