Levona Shu and Johnny Xu explore the reasons why people choose to donate or not donate money to charities. They share their involvement in a local social enterprise, called Hope Beans, and the awkwardness that some people express when uncomfortable about giving. Uncovering one of the key reasons people choose not to give, they found many people felt their 'small' contribution would make little difference. However, Johnny and Levona show how these 'small' contributions do make a significant impact to the values and culture of a community, and how this impact is far beyond the actual finances contributed. They reinforce with the audience the positive difference that giving makes, even in the lives of the givers and their communities.
