Jiyoon Kang and Jung Hwan Park are Grade 11 currently enrolled in two different schools, United Nations International School and Korean International School in Hanoi. What made them together was their passion for mathematics. Jung Hwan Park, who loved solving math problems since small, coincidently found how math overcomes the language barrier when he attended math Olympia in grade 7. Jiyoon Kang, who hated math until G9, found how math can provide another perspective to view the world through the tutor that she met in G10. They came up with this idea of talk when they met in a Mathematics Seminar each probing for different beauty of mathematics.
Their talk shares the sensational perspective to view mathematics apart from problem-solving. This talk emphasizes the two intrinsic beauty of math: a linguistical aspect of math and another universe that we can see only through math can provide. By walking audiences through their experience, they share how they realized this intrinsic beauty of math. They wish that this talk will alter the preconception people have on math, especially for students, and feel more approachable to mathematics.
