What happens when one of our immigrant neighbors who doesn’t speak any English calls 911? Why don’t all emergency response teams have a plan ready for someone who doesn’t speak English? With 45 million immigrants in the United States, situations like this happen all the time. Jenny Nguyen suggests that with a cell phone and a heart, we can bridge community with more effective communication and ensure our neighbors have equal access to help and opportunity.
