Vinay Nandicoori, the current director of CSIR-CCMB, Hyderabad, did his Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from IISC, Bangalore. He was a Postdoc at Texas A&M University and the University of Virginia before returning to India in 2004 to establish his research group at the National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi. Vinay Nandicoori is well known Molecular Biologist who has contributed immensely to delineating the signaling networks in Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the causative agent of TB. He has 70 research papers to his name in international journals of high repute. He holds the prestigious JC Bose fellowship and also an elected fellow of Indian Academy of Sciences, Indian National Science Academy and National Academy of Sciences, India.
