In this video, Dr. Felicia encourages us to get out of boxes that we belittle ourselves in into a space where we can grow and better ourselves. Being in the space outside of her box, she shares with us life lessons from her medical journey in palliative care on love, communication, persistency, simplicity, generosity, fun and letting go.
Dr. Felicia Chang is a palliative care physician specializing in dealing with the final journeys of terminally-ill cancer patients through the best pain and symptom management techniques. Besides taking care of her patients’ emotional, psychological, and spiritual wellbeing, Dr Felicia also aids the families and caretakers of her patients in understanding the importance of managing pain to improve their quality of
life. She strongly believes in having palliative care as a basic human right that requires higher public awareness. Through lectures and bedside teaching, she
hopes to inspire young medical professionals and volunteers to venture into palliative care. She has never allowed her disability to hinder her from achieving her goals. Dr. Felicia’s main message is simple: “Do what you love and you will
excel in it. Be good to others as it is a bigger blessing to give than to receive.”
