This choreography was the result of the desire of three women to discover novel sounds and represent them through their dance and movement. The distinct hearing of Couleur Locale which experiments with the Mediterranean music focusing on the promotion of the traditional Cretan sound by implementing world, rock and jazz style features was what captured our interest. We occupied with the study of the songs “Foinikia and “Foinikia Intro”. Kinesiologically we have been inspired from the great contradictions in life something that led us to new body shapes, rhythmic grooming and alteration of some elements found in traditional dances under a more contemporary look through our personal movement.
