No words better than Julie's could've explained the struggles faced by the trans community in Pakistan. The way she progressed her story with how she met her 'Guru' and got told that there's nothing besides dancing or singing only because these two verbs have been defined and have associated themselves with the trans community. Julie stood on their floor to make sure there is more to her community. She worked her way to ensure that transgenders get equal human rights in Pakistan. Success followed her way... recognition of the trans community was constituted, assurance of equal human rights was constituted, the first trans lawyer arose, the first trans banker and many more professions started unravelling. What the audience can't forget is how Julie shared her experience when her family used to tease them while pointing out any transgender dancing or singing publicly and saying that they're just like you. After the successes of the transgender community in professional fields, Julie went back to her home and with the same teasing tone, when successful transgenders were being announced, she said, "look, they're just like me.
" Her unforgettable speech is pinned into our hearts and made an impact unlike any other.
