Akash Manoj had not heard of 'silent' heart attacks till his grandfather passed away. He vowed to invent a device that would help people at risk. After three years of research, while still being in high school, he unveiled a novel technique earlier this year, winning recognition from instituitions across the world.

Akash Manoj (16) has been reading medical literature for fun since he was in the 8th standard. It comes as a little surprise then that this Class 10 student has developed a device to predict ‘silent’ heart attacks, identified as one a major health risk for thousands of Indians.
